NFL Week 4

Week 4 Has Come and Gone and We Have Learned Alot!

So, I was reading ESPN and their writers columns this week.  The pointed out we are 25% done with the season and we have learned a lot.  Here are some of the things I have learned and some of my observations on the season as we head into Conference play. (OK, I am taking a break from my job printing custom koozies – but who is really counting :) .)

1. The Steelers, Eagles, Falcons, and Colts are overrated. I know that most of you all think that the Colts was an easy prediction considering the demise of Peyton Manning, and I agree. However, I dont think anyone saw the most talented team in football (the Eagles) being 1-3… Go figure – I guess that is why the play the game.

2. The 49ers, Panthers, and Titans are for real. I dont think anyone expected any of these teams to be playing this well… and I am telling you, when they start putting together complete games – they might just make the playoffs. I know you all think I am crazy – but all I got to say is – I guess that is why they play the game.

3. The Lions and Texans are my current pics to be playing in Indy come February. I am telling you, both of these teams are FOR REAL!

NFL Week 3

NFL Begins to Take Shape

Before I start printing the custom koozies for the day… I thought I would drop some knowledge on you.

Realizations about this weeks play.

1. Most people use to say that the Bills stood for “Boy I Love Losing Superbowls”, well, that might just change this year.  The Bills are for real and they are hear to stay.  The Bills came back from 18 points down and picked Tom Brady (quite possibly the greatest football player in the history of the NFL) 4 times. They had him figured out and were jumping routes.  They are a group of talented, smart players, that work hard, and play together – Watch out Indy, a bunch of Bills fans from Buffalo might be descending on your city in February.

2. The Panthers are for real.  I know, I know – How can they be for real? Well when Cam Newton played his worst, they still won – this is the sign of a team that will win some games and may be in a wild card hunt.

3. The Packers know how to win and the Steelers do to. They played some tough opponents on the road and both pulled out some victories – are we going to have a repeat of last years super bowl?

4. The Texans and Saints are going to light up the score board this year and both will be playing deep into January.

5. The Cards Rams and Dolphins – are HORRIBLE!

Well back to the koozies at hand.

Predictions NFL Week 3

Custom Koozies For NFL Week 3

So NFL week 3 is already upon us.  There are fewer and fewer undefeated teams and there are some teams that are looking for a win.

My Big Winners this weekend are…

1. Jets over the Raiders.  Everyone underdog pick is the Raiders – sorry silver and black, the Raiders are good but the Jets are the Super Koozies.

2. The Arizona Cardinals will destroy the Seahawks.  The Seahawks are hurting, Carroll is not a Pro Coach, and the Kolb is for real… Cards win.

3. Cam Newton, who has the best record in football games of any starting QB in the NFL dating back to 2007 (If you include Auburn and Junior College Games) will get his first NFL win as the Panthers will run up the score on the hopeless Jaguards.

4.  The overrated Packers (Note, they are playing poorly, but this does not mean they are not a great team), will end up LOSING to the inspired Bears.  With Urlacher back in town and Julius Peppers hot – Rodgers is in trouble.

5.  The Steelers will beat the Cols by at least 25 points…

Mark these 5 games down and take them to the Banker… bet these and you will win some cash.

Ron Artest Has Come and Conquered Metta World Peace

The Name Is Official – Meta World Peace – No More Ron Artest

So the name change is complete.  We now have a new member of the NBA, that is, if they every play again.  His name is Metta World Peace. But we also lost a very valuable player, form MVP of Defense, perennial all-star, Ron Artest. Ron Artest pulled a Chaz Bono (ironically a cast member on Dancing With The Stars) – Well not exactly a Chaz Bono.  He is still a man, but he did change his name.

This is the second famous name change in recent years in American Sports.  You also have Chad Johnson, who became Chad Ochocinco.  Even thought, I have heard that he may be changing his name back.

So Chad and Metta, I think you have probably open a new can of worms… I do not know who will be the next to change their name, but I am looking forward to seeing it.  I wonder if anyone would name themselves Koozie?

Can Chaz Bono When Dancing With The Stars?

Chaz Bono…Dances! And Dances Well!

I know, I know – How do you follow up a post about week 2 of the NFL season with a post about Chaz Bono and Dancing With The Stars. Lets just say my boss is a lovely lady and she decides the topics some day. This morning I was watching youtube.com reruns of last night’s Dancing With The Stars performance and I was suprised by the ability of Chaz Bono.

As many of you know, Chaz Bono is a man, who actually was the daughter of Cher.  I know that may sound confusing, but for those who do not know, Chaz Bono underwent a sex change operation and is now happily living his live as a man.  Currently, he is taking hormones to continue his change into a man; but honestly he has a serious amount of facial hair and has the face of a man.

I am not sure how I feel about sex change operations personally, however, if Chaz Bono is happier – I say let him / her be and let him enjoy his life.  So Chaz, if you read this article and want some custom koozies let me know, I will be happy to send you some.

For now – best of luck on the show – hope you win.  And if you do not win, please beat Nancy Grace!

NFL Week 2 Impressions

I was impressed again this week with NFL action and have a few comments that you are welcome to destroy, agree with, or partially agree with.

1. Miami Dolphins  are horrible.  They cannot kick field goals, score in the red zone, or stop a Foster-less Texans.  This is going to be a long season for them.

2. The Panther’s Newton is as good as advertised.  Maybe better… I know the Panther’s fans want to win and win now.  But trust me, you are going to win and win a lot during this man’s career.  He is shattering all types of records after two games.  He is better than our customized koozies… well, he is not that good.  But he is the real deal.

3.  Patriots… Not sure who is going to stop them – Is Brady ever going to do anything wrong?

4.  The Houston Texans have a SERIOUS defense!

5.  The Detroit Lions might win the Superbowl.  I know it is still a long shot, but when was the last time you read those words – the Barry Sanders error probably?

6.  The Jets – are for real – they will win 12 games but might just be a wild card to the patriots as they might win 14 games.

7.  The Saints proved they can play.

8.  The Packers will probably not repeat or maybe the Panthers are just that good.

Tupac Shakur

Tupac Lives On

Here at Kooziez.com, we try to keep our readers up to date on current events.  Whether the events be in the NFL, Wall Street, Main Street, The White House, or the music industry.

Tupac is hot in the news right now.  I know there are some out there that does not believe he is dead and continues to live on like a Koozies under a couch after a good old fashion party; but let me tell you something… I find that hard to believe.

Tupac was a man that loved attention – he could not help himself – he wanted the lime light.  He was also a man that loved music.  So, ask yourself, if you love attention, love music, and love doing both at the same time, why would you pretend to be murdered and go underground.  Sure, his record sales have gone through the roof.  Actually, I think he has sold more records since his death than while alive… Note, this is the case with a lot of artists such as Hendrixs, Morrison, Lennon, Biggie (the nemesis of Tupac himself)… and the list could go on and on.

So folks – when you are pondering your koozie order, you do can rest assured you do not have to ponder whether Tupac is faking it – he did not… But with that said RIP Tupac.

Wow – What A Great NFL Weekend!

NFL Starts Of Right!

So the NFL season is officially underway.  I was impressed. The league is definitely lucky that it is not fighting over money right now. The fans, the owners, the players would have all missed out on what is going to be one hell of a year.

I am not a CNNSI writer, but I have my power rankings and I must tell you – Like custom koozies, I am pretty damn good at judging talent.  So the big winner for me was the Buffalo Bills – I mean, who saw that coming?  Other teams that impressed me were the Bears, the Panthers (albeit they lost, they will win some games this year), the Eagles (they lived up to the hype), the Texans (then again no Manning makes the Colts a lot more vulnerable), and the Lions (never thought I would say the words impress and Lions in the same sentence).  The teams that left me wanting a little more – The Rams could have played much better.  The Falcons are in trouble (Matt Ryan is he going to be a bust or what?)… and the Seahawks I thought would have a better showing… Finally  - Chiefs – at home losing to the Bills after making the play-offs last year – can you say overhyped?

I will be back next week!!! Got to go print Koozies - Hope all is well!

Kooziez.com Prepares For Winter Koozies

Winter Koozies

We at Kooziez.com find it hard to believe but the summer koozie season is officially over.  Labor Day has come and gone and we are now officially entering our slow season.  Koozies are extremely important to us – they are our livelihood.  Actually Custom Koozies are more than that – they also help preserve our beer chill.

People often ask us though – what do koozies do in the winter?  Well – that is not only a good question – that is an excellent question. Koozies are often used for protection against more than one element.  You have to remember that the Koozie is an insulation for your beer.  Meaning that a Koozie will protect the natural elements – say the heat from the sun from your beer but it will also protect it from the heat from your hand.  However the koozie does not stop there.

Lets say it is 44 degrees outside but you have a grill to man.  Well the beer will stay cold by itself, nevertheless, a cold beer on one’s hand is not necessarily an enjoyable experience.  So with a Koozie you can resolve that issue.  The Koozie not only protects your beer, but it also protects you hand.

So this year – when someone asks you what you want for Christmas – tell them – when santa claus is coming to town – tell him to bring a Koozie for my beer.  Preferably a Custom Koozie from kooziez.com :) .
